Make or save a buck over two big weekends as 400,000 Australians host a sale or shop the trail as part of the nation's biggest secondhand treasure hunt.
Last year, Townsville hosted more than 150 Garage Sales and more than 5,000 residents participated – circulating more than $50,000 back in to our local community, and more importantly avoiding more than 1,000 tonnes of material being sent to landfill.
This year we aim to build on this and save even more tonnes of good quality furniture, knick-knacks, and vintage treasures from ending up in landfill.

With free registration, how-to guides, sale tips and promotional materials provided, it’s never been easier to host a sale in your neighbourhood.
No garage? No worries. Join a group sale near you, host from your unit block, a car boot, local school or make it a street party.
Thanks to the support of your local council it's free to take part and you can get involved on one day, or do more on 8-9 and 15-16 November 2025.
